Wild Side Horses Winter Hay

In order to feed our Wild Side horses, we purchase rectangular bales, which we then load onto 2 trucks.  We also take along a load of cake.  It takes 3-4 people to deliver the hay across the Cheyenne River to those horses living there.  On average, we feed our wild mustangs four to eight rectangular bales of hay a day at a cost of $25,000.00 to $50,000.00 per month to feed these herds during the winter months.

Here is a breakdown of what it costs us to feed the mustangs on the Wild Side:

$   200 = 1 Bale of hay/4 bales per trip

$1,200 = Load of Cake

$         = Gas for 3 trucks

$         = 3-4 Employees for 4+ hours
